I have just had the pleasure of 4 days in Matera and it is every bit as beautiful and magical as it looks in the film - perhaps, given it’s rich non-Bond history, even more so. Highly recommended for anybody who can travel there. It is truly unlike any other place I have ever been and I have been fortunate to have travelled a lot. Remarkable in many ways but certainly for it’s total lack of ‘Bond Tourism’! I could count the number of ‘Bond’ specific info on one hand - even in areas like the square where the DB5 does donuts! Gravina is a 30 min drive away but is stunning and well worth the effort to get over there.
