The book Bond and Beyond reveals an intimate, behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the Bond films, with portraits that Terry O’Neill has shot, from the 1960s to the present day.
Photographer Terry O'Neill
Renowned British photographer Terry O’Neill has the distinction of having shot five Bonds, from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig, more than 20 iconic Bond Girls, as well as Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen, Elton John, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Audrey Hepburn and Faye Dunaway. His association with James Bond films began in 1964, when he photographed on the set of Goldfinger, starting a relationship with the franchise that has endured for more than 50 years.
Bond and Beyond features iconic Bonds: from Sean Connery to Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. Among the images are photographs of the stunning Bond girls, such as Ursula Andress, Honor Blackman and Joanna Lumley.
Bond and Beyond by Terry O'Neill features a digital tablet in the cover
It’s a Bond book for the 21st century and sets a technological precedent. In a first of its kind, there is a digital tablet with all the photographs built into the book cover, which reveal all the portraits electronically.
Terry O’Neill has signed a limited 1,000-copies-only selection of his Bond archive, one of which, the number 007, will feature in Elton John’s AIDS charity auction at the beginning of next year.
The coffee table
The book is set under a glass panel, inside a bespoke 70s-style coffee table, covered in white leather shagreen and made entirely by hand in Britain. It’s a piece of furniture that could have come straight out of a Bond set.
A ramped drawer allows access to the book. Two further drawers provide storage for all the Bond paraphernalia an avid Bond collector could ever desire.
Price of the book: £1,250
Price of book and coffee table: £8,500
