Bond 23 scheduled for November 2012 release
MGM has filed for bankruptcy, and even though that may sound like bad news, it opens the way for MGM to start working on it's future projects, including Bond 23 and The Hobbit. MGM announced that it wants to release the 23rd Bond film in November 2012.
MGM plans to release a new James Bond movie every two years. MGM is still looking for a partner to pay production costs on Bond 23, so nothing is 100% sure yet. The company aims to own 50 percent of Bond 23, with an equal partner paying all of the production costs and later Bond movies would be wholly owned and funded by MGM, the company said.
