Globe-Trotter 007 Backgammon and Poker Sets

Globe-Trotter has released new Poker and Backgammon sets, which join their 007 Luggage collection.

From the very beginning, James Bond’s association to gamble with high-stakes has been a hallmark of his persona – 007 famously placed bets in scenes from Dr. No (1962) when taking on Sylvia Trench at the French card game chemin de fer. Bond plays cards games throughout the series, with the most famous game taking place in the movie Casino Royale (2006).

Globe-Trotter allows you to recreate these cinematic moments in style with the new, unique Globe-Trotter Poker Set, which joins their 007 Luggage collection. The Set comes in a grey Globe-Trotter case.

With a sleek grey exterior, the Poker Set features a co-branded metal plaque on the lid, while the interior houses all the poker components needed for play, including a set of five dice, poker chips, a dealer counter as well as a set of playing cards.

Globe-Trotter 007 Backgammon Set

Backgammon appeared in the 1983 movie Octopussy), where Bond steps into a game in India, famously betting the Fabergé Egg, but Backgammon has had strong links to the 007 universe for many years. Roger Moore and Cubby Broccoli famously used to play the game on set in between takes.

The new Backgammon Set features a high-quality leather board designed into a signature Globe-Trotter case. Inside, separate compartments have been created for the dice, counters and shakers so you can transport it with ease on your travels.

When opened, the case lies flat allowing each opponent to sit across the board and start play straight away. The counters, or men, are in mother-of-pearl finish, while the shakers are finished in high-quality leather, crafted by hand alongside the suitcases at the Globe-Trotter factory in Hertfordshire, UK. A doubling cube completes the set to help calculate the win for each match you play.
