Sunspel releases three colors and activewear version of the Riviera polo

To mark No Time to Die, Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond, Sunspel have released three exclusive versions of the iconic Riviera Polo Shirt tailored for his first appearance in Casino Royale. Also this month, Sunspel added activewear versions of the Riviera shirt, which are better suited for sports.

Sunspel is currently also offering sets of three Riviera Polo Shirts with 20% OFF, although the navy Riviera is not part of these sets as it's sold out.

The most instantly recognisable Sunspel item worn by Daniel Craig’s Bond is the navy Riviera Polo Shirt. Its lightweight, warp-knit cotton material known as Q75 was invented in the 1950s by Sunspel owner Peter Hill, specifically for the hot summer sun of the Italian Riviera.

For Casino Royale (2006), costume designer Lindy Hemming worked with Sunspel to tailor the polo shirt for Craig, shortening the arms and making slight tweaks to complement Daniel Craig’s physique and allow ease of movement in action scenes. Casual and contemporary, distinctively British and effortlessly stylish, the Riviera Polo Shirt became an instant hit across the world as an achievable ‘James Bond look’.
