La Perla bikini

The famous bikini worn by Halle Berry (Jinx) in the Die Another Day (2002) was made by La Perla.

Worn in the scene where Halle Berry as Jinx emerges from the sea - a recreation of the moment in Dr. No (1962) when Ursula Andress appears from the sea in front of James Bond.

The bikini was selected by costume designer Lindy Hemming after going through many different options, as Halle Berry has mentioned in her Vogue “Life in Looks” video:

"We tried on so many bathing suits, so many bikinis and so many belts and this looks effortless, but this was a whole situation getting this little bathing suit right. Choosing the color and the right fit. We had a knowing that it would maybe, because it was in a Bond movie, end up being an iconic situation or something that would live a very, very long time."

The La Perla bikini was available at time of the movie, but didn't come with the white belt and knife. The orange La Perla bikini is no longer available in official stores, but you can try eBay for similar orange La Perla bikinis.

Costume designer Lindy Hemming also selected a La Perla bikini for Bond girl Solange in Casino Royale and for the famous blue swim shorts worn by James Bond in Casino Royale.
