Four Seasons Hotel London at Canary Wharf, London, UK

Two scenes in SkyFall (2012) were filmed in the Four Seasons Hotel at Canary Wharf in London (update: now called the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel).

The swimming pool of the Virgin Active Canary Riverside Health Club, which is located adjacent to the Four Seasons hotel, was used to film the swimming pool scene in SkyFall. The heated, 20-metre (65-foot) infinity-edge swimming pool is situated in a specially designed building with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, overlooking the River Thames on one side and beautifully landscaped gardens on the other. The scene was filmed on 1 December 2011, and is supposed to take place on the rooftop of Bond's (unnamed) hotel in Shanghai. The photo of Bond sitting on the edge of the pool was released in January 2012, and was the first promotional teaser image released for the movie SkyFall. The photo led to the identification of his swimming shorts, the Orlebar Brown Setter in Sky color.

The Virgin Active Canary Riverside Health Club is accessible for free for guests of the Four Seasons Hotel, or via a membership of the Virgin Active Health Club (prices range from £115 - £145 per month).

If you plan on staying in the Four Seasons Hotel at Canary Wharf, try to get room 712, as the shower scene with Bond and Severine (which is supposed to take place on the Chimera yacht) is said to be filmed there.

It is not the only location in London that doubles for Shanghai: the building where Patrice and Bond enter was filmed in front of and inside Broadgate Tower, Bishopsgate, London. The street where Patrice's taxi and Bond's Mercedes-Benz stop, Primrose Street, is right in front of the building. Part of the building was digitally modified, to make it look like Shanghai.
