Orlebar Brown Thunderball Bassett Swim Trunks
In the movie Thunderball (1965) Sean Connery wears several pairs of short Jantzen swim trunks, including a tight fitting white pair.
James Bond wears the white Jantzen shorts while he is diving in The Bahamas, inspecting the Disco Volante. While diving he wears the shorts with an red diving suit, the same outfit featured on many iconic Thunderball film posters. After the diving, when he is picked up by Fiona Volpe in the blue Ford Mustang Convertible and taken for a ride to his hotel, he still wears the shorts, but with a navy Fred Perry polo shirt and light blue espadrilles.
As part of the 007 Heritage Collection, Orlebar Brown has released this classic pair of swim trunks inspired by Bond's white swim trunks. The trunks are made of Italian stretch-knit fabric with pique texture (90% nylon, 10% elastane). The shorts have a drawcord with nice gold-effect ends and, like all items in this collection, a Orlebar Brown 007 tag inside.
Now available at Orlebar Brown for £95 / €115 / $145
Complete the look
To complete the outfit from the film, wear the shorts with a navy polo shirt, from Fred Perry, Sunspel or Orlebar Brown, all Bond related brands.
Last year, Orlebar Brown offered the blue espadrilles worn by Bond in the same scene as part of the 007 Collection, but unfortunately they're not available anymore (check sizes here).
