One of the things on my "bucket list" was not to climb Mt. Everest.
It was to get a pair of John Lobb's from the original store in St. James Place in London.
Finally, in 2005, I took my family to London and Europe for a vacation. While there, I ordered a bespoke pair of black calf skin, cap toe, lace up's, which is a traditional pair of "business" shoes. They cost me about $4,000.00. They also made me bespoke shoe trees, which cost an additional $800.00. Well worth the price. John Lobb comes to major U.S. cities twice each year, so you do not have to go to London to get them.
Service after the sale is extroadinary.
I know have about 10 pair and I love them.
I am from Texas and I have had bespoke boots made since 1983 and I love them, but almost nothing is as cool as a pair of bespoke John Lobb's (not Hermes).
You only live once, so go for it.
I also recommend bespoke Charvet ties from Paris. They cost the same as ready-made in the States, but they are bespoke.
