BOND 25 title announced: NO TIME TO DIE

The new title of the 25th Bond film was unexpectedly announced today, and it's NO TIME TO DIE.

NO TIME TO DIE was not one of the rumoured / working titles like Shatterhand and Eclipse, and it is also not an original Ian Fleming title. But is more in line with classic Bond film titles like You Only Live Twice, Live and Let Die, Tomorrow Never Dies, Die Another Day.

The same title was also used for a 1958 war film produced by Cubby Broccoli - who went on to become the producer of the James Bond films and who was the father and stepfather of current producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson respectively. The 1958 film NO TIME TO DIE was directed by Terence Young (who also directed some of the first Bond films, Dr. No, From Russia With Love and Thunderball) and featured actress Luciana Paluzzi, who later played Fiona Volpe in Thunderball.
