Crockett & Jones reveal the Hamilton in celebration of James Bond’s 60th Anniversary

Crockett & Jones have announced the release of a new style, Hamilton, in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the James Bond films.

Hamilton is an exclusive style from Crockett & Jones which will be available soon in two colors, Black Calf and Ivywood Antique Calf.

Each model has a 007 stamped Bark Tanned Leather Sole.

2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the James Bond films. It was Albert R. Cubby Broccoli and Harry Saltzman who adapted Ian Fleming’s Dr. No for the screen in 1962. The 007 franchise is the longest running in film history with twenty-five films produced, to date.

As an official partner brand of EON Productions, the makers of the James Bond films, Crockett & Jones delved into the archives to find its 1962 catalogue.

A boot of the era, the Chelsea, was the only choice. Crockett & Jones has been producing Chelsea boots for nearly a century, with one of the first illustrations appearing in 1925. Aptly named ‘Chelsea’, it wasn't until the early 1960s that 'Chelsea' appeared in its Stock Catalogue for wider wholesale purchase.

1962, the year that Dr. No was released, paved the way for one of the firms most successful style categories over the past 60 years. Featuring traditional, straight cut elastics, a plain front whole vamp, oak bark leather sole, flexible shoulder insoles and a jockey back strip in matching calf. Produced on the original 236 last, a last that was launched in the early 60’s and features a traditional round toe shape.

Crockett & Jones shoes were worn by Daniel Craig as James Bond in SkyFall, SPECTRE and No Time To Die, and in 2020 the brand released a Limited Edition 'James' model with 007 logo and packaging, the first of their shoes to have an official 007 association.
