Factory Entertainment announces limited edition Solex Agitator prop replica
Factory Entertainment has created a James Bond Solex Agitator Prop Replica - The Man With The Golden Gun Numbered Edition, made in a series of 1,000.
This is the first officially licensed replica of the Solex Agitator. Several fans have made replicas before, see one example here. An original screen-used prop was auctioned for £55,000 in the 2012 Christie's 50 Years of James Bond Auction.
The Solex Agitator is a key component of Francisco Scaramanga’s solar energy device, and a central plot element in the 1974 film.
The original prop was created using a variety of found components, encased in acrylic to create the distinctive central core.
The Factory Entertainment team were able to carefully study a surviving original prop in the EON Productions Archive.
This replica is based on the original prop which contained a range of 1970s obsolete vintage electrical and computing components. Each has been carefully hand-duplicated.
The frame is machined aluminum and the core components have been recreated in resin and have been embedded into clear acrylic, exactly like the original prop.
Each replica is presented in a wooden display box with 007 logo engraved on the glass.
This edition includes a certificate of authenticity booklet and an individually numbered metal plaque bearing the unique edition number of each piece.
The edition size for this Solex Agitator prop replica is 1000 pieces
The Factory Entertainment Solex Agitator prop replica is available to pre-order at the 007Store with early 2024 delivery.
