James Bond Walther P99 and other film memorabilia on auction in London

James Bond’s (Pierce Brosnan) Walther P99 & Silencer from Tomorrow Never Dies, Scaramanga's (Christopher Lee) revolver, Leonard Nimoy’s Spock Costume from Star Trek, a Stormtrooper Helmet from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes back and Christopher Reeve’s Superman Tunic are set to feature this September in the UK’s biggest film and television memorabilia auction.

The Prop Store Entertainment Memorabilia live auction, to be held in partnership with the BFI IMAX together with ODEON, will see over £1 million worth of film memorabilia go under the hammer. Over 450 lots will be sold on the 23rd of September at the BFI IMAX, London, Waterloo. A free preview exhibition will also take place in the run up to the auction, opening on the 9th September to the public and showcasing over 250 pieces of the exclusive collection on offer. Doctor Who fans are in for a treat with a Dalek and shooting script from Doctor Who: An Adventure in Space and Time available for bidding. With “Back To The Future Day” approaching later this year, the time is right for fans of the franchise to get their hands on Marty McFly’s Grays Sports Almanac in the Prop Store auction. Each lot is estimated to sell for between £4-6k.

James Bond’s (Pierce Brosnan) Walther P99 & Silencer from Tomorrow Never Dies is estimated at £10-12k, Frank Bullitt's (Steve McQueen) License Plate from Bullitt estimated at £10-15k, and Captain Jack Sparrow’s (Johnny Depp) Sword from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest estimated at £4-6k.

The auction is suitable for fans with all variety of budgets. Two of the least expensive lots in the sale are a helmet worn by the Knights of the Round Table from Monty Python and the Holy Grail estimated at £200 - £300, and a lot of Quad Posters from Blade Runner’s original 1982 release, estimated to sell for £200.

Film and television touches the hearts of many, and the exhibition and subsequent auction offers a rare chance to get up close and personal with these silver screen treasures. The auction will be streamed live onto the web so movie fans can track the bidding on the blockbuster props as they are snapped up on auction day. Bids can be placed online, over the phone or in person.

The Prop Store Live Auction, in partnership with the BFI IMAX together with ODEON, will take place at the BFI IMAX Waterloo on Wednesday 23rd September at 2pm. Auction items will be on display at a free exhibition open to the public at the BFI IMAX, Waterloo, London, England SE1 8XR from 9th - 23rd September 2015.
