Omega James Bond Limited Edition set with two OHMSS Seamaster 300M Diver watches in Globe-Trotter case

Via the official website 007.com, Omega has revealed a new James Bond Limited Edition set that contains no less than two OHMSS Seamaster 300M Diver watches, one of those in yellow gold, in a Globe-Trotter case.

The recent release of Omega's Seamaster Diver 300M Limited Edition (in September 2019), celebrating the 50th anniversary of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, proved to be an instant hit with 007 fans and watch collectors around the world. The 7,007 Limited Edition pieces sold out very fast (only a few available on eBay at the moment).

Now Omega has released a special Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond Limited Edition watch gift set which includes 2 watches. Only 257 of the sets have been created, comprised of two unique watches inside a Globe-Trotter suitcase, which has been bound by black and grey NATO-inspired straps. Globe-Trotter has provided Bond films with luggage since SkyFall (Patrice's Stabilist Case) and SPECTRE (Bond's brown suitcase) and it is very likely we will see Globe-Trotter in No Time To Die once more (read more about Bond and Globe-Trotter).

Let's take a closer look at what's inside the Globe-Trotter case.

The case itself contains another wooden box with NATO strap design and gold colored hardware. This luxury box contains two Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Limited Edition watches on a rubber strap, plus NATO straps with matching hardware, plus a metal bracelet, and several watch tools.

The first timepiece is similar to the watch released in September, and features a stainless steel case and black rubber strap.

On the side of the case is an 18K yellow gold plate engraved with each Limited Edition number, while the bezel is black ceramic with a white enamel diving scale.

Note that the watch doesn't have a Date window at the 6 o'clock window - this is different from the other OHMSS watch released in September (see here).

The second model in the OHMSS set is based on the same design but has a 18K yellow gold case. The watch also sports a black rub­ber strap with an 18K yellow gold buckle.

On this watch, the case plate with each Limited Edition number is in 18K white gold, to contrast with the yellow gold case, and the black ceramic bezel features a diving scale in Omega Ceragold.

Both watches feature a spiral-brushed black ceramic dial with a special black PVD coating and a very distinctive touch: a laser-engraved gun-barrel design. There is also a hidden number 50 within the Super-LumiNova of the 10 o’clock index – a reference to the 50th anniversary of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969).

Additionally, the watches include 18K yellow gold hands and in­dexes, with a marker at 12 o’clock, inspired by the Bond family coat-of-arms. This crest is also metallised in gold and black on the sapphire crystal of each watch’s caseback.

Each watch runs on Omega's Master Chronometer Calibre 8806/8807.

The price of the set is not yet know, but the first OHMSS Limited Edition watch cost approximately £5000 / $6500 / €6000, so this set will likely cost at least double that amount, but possible a lot more. As soon as the final price is announced, it will be added it here to this article.
