Mercedes-Benz S 300
In the movie SkyFall (2012), James Bond (Daniel Craig) poses as a driver at the Shanghai international airport and follows the villain Patrice (Ola Rapace) in a black Mercedes-Benz S-class.
The car seen in the film is a Mercedes-Benz S 300, chassis code W221, the face-lift model, probably from the year 2011. The interior is tan color. The license plate reads K Q1578. The car in the film has the standard 7-spoke light-alloy 17" wheels.
The S 300 was only available only in Asia (although the same car is sold as a S 280 in the UK and Ireland). The S-class is the flagship model of Mercedes-Benz.
From 20-23 January 2012, the second unit filmed the Mercedes-Benz in pursuit of Patrice's taxi in the streets of Shanghai, most notably on the Yan'an elevated road with its blue neon lights. Daniel Craig was not present at the shoot. On January 29th 2012, the shots of Bond (Craig) in the car, checking his Walther gun and watching Patrice entering the skyscraper were filmed at the Heron building in central London. A picture of the location in London with the Mercedes-Benz and Craig was posted on Twitter by user jelliedeels.
