Miramonti Majestic Grand Hotel, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy

The Miramonti Majestic Grand Hotel is featured in For Your Eyes Only (1981). James Bond stays at the hotel and looks out from his balcony.

 In the film, Bond's room number is 300 but the actual balcony seen in the film belongs to room 108 of the hotel.

Several scenes take place in the hotel although the interior shots are filmed in a studio. Roger Moore himself also stayed at the Miramonti whilst shooting the movie.

The hotel is located 1.5km (1 mile) outside of the town of Cortina D'Ampezzo. That town and surrounding area were also used to film the ice rink, the ski jump, the bobsleigh run, observatory (where Bond meets Ferrara) and scenes on the square of the the town itself, so the area is definitely worth a visit.
