Timothy Everest
London tailor Timothy Everest has dressed Ralph Fiennes’ character, “M” in SkyFall and SPECTRE and No Time To Die, as well as villain Franz Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz) and henchman Mr Hinx (Dave Bautista) in SPECTRE.
M
In SkyFall, the suits worn by Ralhp Fiennes when he becomes M. With one of the outfits he wears Albert Thurston / Ede & Ravenscroft braces.
Following on from SkyFall, Timothy Everest also created bespoke suits for M in SPECTRE.
Working closely with the 007 wardrobe team, the brief was to contemporarise M from heavy worsted wools and flannels to a more modern, medium weight Super 120’s worsted wool and baby cashmere coatings. The basis of the characters wardrobe is still predominantly classic, two-piece Prince of Wales with blue over check in a Super 120’s 11oz worsted wool, three-piece Navy pinstripe in a Super 120’s 11oz worsted wool, three-piece lightweight worsted flannel in Navy with a electric blue stripe, three-piece classic Super 120’s grey worsted wool and a baby cashmere town coat shaken and stirred with red selvedge Japanese denim jeans.
In SPECTRE, Everest also created suits for the characters Hinx (Dave Bautista) and Franz Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz).
In No Time To Die, Ralph Fiennes once again wears bespoke suits from Timothy Everest. One of the suits is the one featured on the character poster. The suit is a double breasted affair in a 12 oz Navy with light blue rope stripe wool from the elegant “Five Stars” bunch by Draper's Italy. This has been teamed seamlessly with a Timothy Everest made-to-measure shirt in ice blue poplin featuring our signature “Kent” semi-spread collar.
Hinx
Being an ex-WWE wrestler, Bautista’s frame is rather large so the brief was to make the character appear as slick as the leading characters whilst allowing for full range of movement during action sequences. Two looks were created, both three-piece suits in a lightweight Capri wool in beige and midnight blue. Simple, elegant and powerful.
Franz Oberhauser
The atelier also tailored the iconic, velvet Nehru collar jacket for Bond’s nemesis, Oberhauser / Blofeld, played by Christoph Waltz, in bottle green, navy and black silk velvet. This is part of the outfit worn at Blofeld's Moroccan Lair.
One of the Nehru collar jacket outfits was sold for £13,750 at the 2016 Christie's SPECTRE Auction. The auction gives us details about the rest of his outfit: Oberhauser wears jacket over a navy blue Wooyoungmi shirt with black rubber ‘lace’ effect on collar and cuffs, button cuff and neckband collar, and pale grey Maison Margiela trousers with drawstring waist
