Tom Ford JB Cufflinks
James Bond (Daniel Craig) wears cufflinks engraved with his initials JB in the movie SPECTRE (2015). He wears a lapis lazuli (blue) pair and pair in mother-of-pearl. The cufflink panels are engraved with monogram J B for James Bond, to single-link connections, and signed Tom Ford.
The James Bond’s initialled JB cufflinks were designed by Jany Temime and made by Tom Ford. Bond wears the blue JB cufflinks throughout the film with each of his Tom Ford suits, for example in the Day of the Dead Mexico opening sequence and the first London scenes.
The ‘mother-of-pearl’ version of the cufflinks are worn during the dinner on the train in Morocco, with his Tom Ford dinner suit and black Crockett & Jones Alex shoes.
One of three original mother-of-pearl pairs of cufflinks held in the EON archive, and one of two blue cufflinks held by EON, were offered at the SPECTRE auction at Christie's in 2016.
The mother-of-pearl cufflinks were sold at the auction for a staggering £74,500 (approx $105,120 / €94,988 at the time of the auction).
The lapis lazuli cufflinks sold, together with a Blu-ray disc of SPECTRE, signed in gold marker pen by Daniel Craig, for an impressive £30,000.
Tom Ford also created cufflinks for James Bond in SkyFall (2012): a pair of round cufflinks with the Bond family crest and motto 'Orbis Non Sufficit', a pair of cylinder cufflinks and round mother of pearl cufflinks.
