Bond 25 to be released in 2019
MGM and EON just announced that James Bond will return to US cinemas on November 8, 2019 with a traditional earlier release in the UK and the rest of the world.
No information was given if Daniel Craig will return as Agent 007. More details about the cast, director, distribution and international release dates will released at a later date.
Recently there have been rumours that the 49-year old Craig will play Bond one more time, but nothing has been confirmed.
Bond 25 will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, long time collaborators and writers on previous Bond films including Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, SkyFall and SPECTRE. The film will be produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
The 2019 release means that there will be a gap of 4 years between SPECTRE and Bond 25. The same amount of time passed between Die Another Day (2002) and Casino Royale (2006), and Quantum of Solace (2008) and SkyFall (2012). The longest gap between two EON Bond films was between Licence to Kill (1989) and GoldenEye (1995).
