Massimo Alba Sloop Suit
Daniel Craig as James Bond wears a corduroy Massimo Alba Sloop Suit in the Aston Martin DB5 chase scenes in No Time to Die (2020).
The two-button sand-tone suit is worn during the high action scenes with Bond and Dr Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux) that were filmed in Matera, Italy. He wears it in Hotel Palazzo Lucareschi, the hotel where Madeleine Swann and Bond stay in Matera. He also wears it when he visits a grave and when he drives the Aston Martin DB5 with Madeleine Swann and the subsequent chase scene.
The unlined 'Sloop' suit comes in what Massimo Alba calls the color 'Desert'. The suit can be ordered directly from Massimo Alba on their website or send an email to Alessandro and mention "Bond Lifestyle".
The Massimo Alba suit is made from a fine corduroy, and features three pockets with flap on the front of the jacket, double vents on the back and four buttons on the cuff. The corduroy trousers have belt loops, although Bond wears Albert Thurston braces to hold up the pants.
In No Time To Die, James Bond wears several items from Italian designer Massimo Alba, including grey corduroy trousers during the Romantic scenes in Matera, and a long corduroy duster coat during scenes with a Toyota Land Cruiser and helicopter.
According to No Time To Die costume buyer Jane Gooday in an article in the New York Times, it was Daniel Craig himself who suggested to use Massimo Alba for the film. Craig apparently had bought a pair of the designer’s fine-ribbed corduroy jeans for his personal life.
Complete the outfit
The shoes worn by James Bond with the Matera Chase outfit are Drake's Crosby moc-toe chukka boots in Dark Brown suede. Other items of the same outfit include Dove Grey braces by Albert Thurston, a necktie by Alexander Olch and an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra watch, probably the same or very similar watch as seen in SPECTRE.
