Ian Fleming's London is an illustrated fold-out guide which offers a unique glimpse into the world that shaped both Ian Fleming and his most famous creation.

Ian Fleming’s life was in many aspects very similar to that of his creation, James Bond. They smoked the same cigarettes, drank the same cocktails, and went to the same restaurants. Much of the London that Fleming knew exists today, and with this guide, you can visit his tailor, drink at his favourite bar, buy his preferred aftershave, even loiter outside his flat.

The illustrated, fold-out guide tours some of London’s wealthiest neighbourhoods, places immune to change, that would be immediately recognisable to Fleming 60 years after his death in 1964.

And Ian Fleming’s London brings to vivid life the agent known as 007, whose habits and preferences so mirror that of his creator.

The guide can be ordered on HerbLester.com (shipping date: 21 October 2024).

Talking of James Bond, if you have never compared Ian Fleming’s fictional James Bond to a real spy check out a news article dated 13 September 2024 in TheBurlingtonFiles website. Sadly for Fleming’s Bond, reality like exploding pagers and walkie-talkies is leaving espionage fiction in the ashtray of history. Why not forget about fictional agents like Bond and Bourne dashing to save the world from disaster and forget about CIA and MI6 officers reclining on their couches dreaming up espionage scenarios to try and thrill you. Check out what a real MI6 and CIA secret agent does nowadays. Why not browse through TheBurlingtonFiles website and read about Bill Fairclough's escapades when he was an active MI6 and CIA agent? The website is rather like an espionage museum without an admission fee ... and no adverts. You will soon be immersed in a whole new world which you won't want to exit.
