For Bond fans, the highlight of the auction is a 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Sports Saloon finished in the unmistakable Silver Birch over Elephant Grey leather interior, mirroring the car made famous in Goldfinger.

According to the auction house, this particular example was restored by former owner John Taylor, bassist and founding member of Duran Duran, who ensured it matched the on-screen Bond DB5 perfectly.

Taylor’s band also performed the theme song for the 1985 Roger Moore film A View to a Kill, giving this example an unmistakable link between music and movie history.

Benefitting from comprehensive restorations by GTC Engineering and Shapecraft, first in the 1980s and again in 2000, the car is presented in excellent mechanical and aesthetic condition. The Marek straight-six engine has been rebuilt to 4.2-litre specification and paired with a manual gearbox; the odometer currently reads 56,934 miles.

Another highlight is an ultra-rare 1980 Lamborghini Countach LP400 S Series II, one of only 105 ever produced. Finished in its original Lamborghini Argento Metallizzato livery, the car has covered 65,246 km and retains its authentic factory specification.
