Christie's auction prices of the three Limited Edition Omega Seamaster Commander watches
The final Christie's Auction prices of the three special editions of the Seamaster Commander's watch have been revealed.
Christie's offered three rare versions of the Commander's watch in a charity auction, the proceeds of which will go to UNICEF, the United Nations Mine Action Service, and a number of charitable organizations. The auction ran from 3 - 17 October 2017.
When creating the Commander's watch, OMEGA was inspired by James Bond's rank and regalia. This limited edition features some unique characteristics like the 007 gun logo counter weight on the central seconds hand and the number 7 in the date window is colored red, while the other numbers are blue.
1. OMEGA steel Seamaster Commander's watch with YOLT Uniform
Price Realised: USD 22,500
OMEGA made 7,007 pieces in stainless steel and the watch being auctioned is Limited Edition number 0007. The watch is accompanied by a special presentation case (designed after a military medal case), naval style pin, stainless steel bracelet and strap changing tool.
The watch in this auction comes with a reproduction naval uniform to the same specification that Sean Connery wore in You Only Live Twice. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film You Only Live Twice.
Oscar winning costume designer Lindy Hemming supervised the reproduction of James Bond’s two piece naval uniform including Commander’s peak cap. It was tailored by Academy Costumes in London to Sean Connery’s measurements. Connery portraying James Bond is seen wearing a naval uniform for the first and only time in You Only Live Twice (1967). The inside label has been signed in gold pen by Bond Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
2. OMEGA 18K Gold Seamaster Commander's watch with TSWLM Uniform
Price Realised: USD 40,000
OMEGA made 7 pieces of the Commander's watch in 18k yellow gold and the watch being auctioned is number 007.
The watch comes with a reproduction naval uniform to the same specifications that Roger Moore wore in The Spy Who Loved Me.

3. OMEGA, 18K White Gold Seamaster Commander's watch with signed flag
Price Realised: USD 87,500
The most rare piece of the auction was this Seamaster Commander's watch in White Gold. The watch is a one-off, so unique edition of the Commander's watch in 18k white gold.
To make it even more interesting, the watch comes with a British Royal Navy Ensign flag from SPECTRE signed by Daniel Craig.
The flag is seen on the rib boat that M’s chief of staff, Tanner (Rory Kinnear) and James Bond (Daniel Craig) are travelling on down the River Thames.
