First look: OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M 60 Years of James Bond Watches

Today two new OMEGA Seamaster watches and 007 accessories have been announced to celebrate James Bond’s 60th Anniversary.

The commemorative Seamaster Diver 300M timepieces are available in two versions; a stainless steel variant and a 18K Canopus Gold piece with diamond bezel and crystallite dial.

Stainless steel model

The stainless steel model is influenced by the first-ever OMEGA watch that James Bond wore in the 1995 movie GoldenEye.

According to OMEGA the watch has an exclusive animated caseback with with Bond in silhouette and a spinning gun barrel design. This dynamic scene plays out beneath the sapphire, decorated with micro-structured metallisation. The patent pending “moiré” effect animation is linked to the running of the lollipop central seconds hand, so the action never stops.

The watch features the new Seamaster case shape and dial but doesn't have the Date window at th 6 o'clock position.

The dial features the wave pattern also seen on the older model Seamaster and it has a unique second hand with the 'balloon' at the tip of the hand.

The Stainless Steel model will cost £7.100.

Canopus Gold model

The other special edition model Canopus Gold model with green and yellow diamonds takes inspiration from Ian Fleming’s Jamaican home and Bond’s inaugural adventure Dr. No.

The 18K Canopus Gold piece is made from natural grey silicon, with each watch featuring a completely unique crystallite dial. The bezel is embellished with green and yellow diamonds in tribute to the Jamaican flag, and the watch comes in a mango tree wooden box, referencing the song ‘Underneath the Mango Tree’ from Dr. No.

The stainless steel watch features a blue oxalic anodised dial and bezel, laser-engraved wave pattern and LumiNova finish.

Like the steel model, the film-themed caseback replicates the famous 007 opening sequence - with Bond in silhouette and a spinning gun barrel design. As the lollipop seconds hand moves, this dynamic scene plays out beneath the sapphire, decorated with a patent pending micro-structured metallisation, known as a “moiré” effect animation.

The watch is powered by the luxury Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8807, and comes presented on a bracelet and buckle in 18K Canopus Gold.

Accessories

OMEGA also revealed a matching range of 007 inspired cufflinks and bracelets.

A sailing bracelet in stainless steel, with blue and grey nylon braiding, featuring a moveable decorative ring with engraved 007 logo.

A sailing bracelet in black and grey nylon braiding, inspired by the NATO strap worn in Spectre. Available in standard and slim-fit sizes, it includes a moveable decorative ring with engraved 007 logo.

Round stainless steel cufflinks with plates inspired by Bond’s OMEGA in Quantum Of Solace. Each piece features stems engraved with the 007 logo.

A sailing bracelet in brushed titanium, with multi-coloured nylon braiding, inspired by the NATO strap worn in No Time To Die. The designs features a moveable decorative ring with engraved 007 logo.

Square stainless steel cufflinks, with plates matching the mesh bracelet of the 60th anniversary stainless steel watch. The edges are engraved with the 007 logo.

OMEGA’s Seamaster Diver 300M 60 Years of James Bond Watches will be available from January 2023.
