Samsung GT-S5611
In SPECTRE, James Bond (Daniel Craig) sends Moneypenny a mobile phone disguised as a gift so that he can communicate with her as he continues on his rogue mission to track down the criminal organization behind Sciarra.
The phone is a metallic silver Samsung GT-S5611, but the Samsung logo has been removed from the phone used in the film.
One of two prop ‘gift’ phone sets used by Naomie Harris as Moneypenny in SPECTRE was auctioned at the Christie's James Bond SPECTRE auction (read more) in February 2016, the other set is still owned by EON Archives.
The mobile phone is presented to Moneypenny in dark grey paper box with grey satin ribbon, inside velvet base lining, with black tissue paper and a white folded card with 'Thank you' written by hand with black marker. In the film, the ‘Thank you’ card is signed ‘J’ but this was added digitally in post-production, as the Christie's auction tells us.
The Samsung GT-S5611 was released in February 2014 and is still available, find it at local phone stores or online at eBay.
The color is officially known as Metallic Silver, but is also often reffered to as Grey. The phone inthe film looks lighter than the Metallic Silver Samsung, but that must the lighting in the film. The phone prop is also quite dark grey, see the Christie's image on the left.
