First-ever NFT movie ticket stub
Earlier this month, Veve launched the first-ever NFT movie ticket stub.
Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) and EON Productions (EON) partnered with Cinemark Theatres to launch the first-ever NFT movie ticket stub exclusively with VeVe, the largest mobile-first digital collectibles platform.
Beginning Wednesday, October 6th 2021, seven 007 superfans will have the opportunity to own a limited-edition digital movie ticket stub, available through the VeVe app at 10 a.m. PT, to celebrate the release of No Time To Die. Additionally, each of the original purchasers of the collector’s tickets will receive seven admission tickets valid at any Cinemark location to see No Time To Die during its theatrical run in the U.S.
“James Bond is the most famous action hero in the world, so to be able to offer fans the first-ever NFT movie ticket for the franchise, and an entirely new way to interact with their favorite 007 agent is incredibly exciting,” said Stephen Bruno, CMO at MGM. “Cinemark and VeVe are both innovative companies that understand the importance this incredibly dedicated fan base, and we are thrilled to have their support as we shepherd this iconic brand into the future.”
“We are excited to work with MGM, EON and VeVe to revolutionize the traditional movie ticket with this unique No Time To Die NFT exclusively for seven lucky Cinemark moviegoers,” said Wanda Gierhart Fearing, Cinemark chief marketing and content officer. “Fans have been eagerly awaiting seeing James Bond back in action, and we are thrilled to present his next adventure in the most immersive setting possible with our larger-than-life screens and surround sound. In collaboration with amazing partners like MGM, EON and Veve, we are able create unique and memorable experiences both within and outside of our theatres.”
“Partnering with MGM, EON and Cinemark on James Bond digital collectibles marks a tremendous moment in time for our platform and is something our community of dedicated collectors is going to love,” said Dan Crothers, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of VeVe. “Offering purchasers real movie tickets to see No Time To Die in theaters alongside NFTs from this iconic franchise further legitimizes our belief in the long-term impact of digital collectibles and showcases how innovative they can be.”
Purchasers of this limited edition No Time To Die movie ticket stub will experience all the action the film has to offer in Cinemark’s immersive, cinematic auditoriums. There is nothing that can bring Bond’s latest rescue mission to life better than wall-to-wall screens and booming surround sound, and Cinemark’s luxurious seats complete the ultimate viewing environment. Of course, no movie is complete without that warm, irresistible movie theatre popcorn.
In addition to the limited-edition Cinemark movie ticket stubs, MGM, EON and VeVe are partnering to launch a series of James Bond inspired NFTs to celebrate the release of No Time To Die. Collectible items released to date include exclusive digital posters as well as the stealth glider and Safin’s mask featured in the film, which sold out within seconds of dropping. Additional No Time To Die NFTs were released throughout the month of October.
Through the VeVe platform, fans can showcase their digital collections in the app’s virtual showrooms as epic 3D dioramas, as well as virtually visit, comment on and like showrooms from other collectors. VeVe also offers an augmented reality (AR) photo mode that allows collectors to interact with every digital collectible in 3D, as well as share their collectibles through VeVe’s in-app social feed or on external social platforms.
