Turnbull & Asser releases James Bond 007 Collection

Turnbull & Asser today announced their 2020 official James Bond 007 Collection, which includes three new neckties from the Pierce Brosnan era, a new Die Another Day dress shirt and updated Dr. No cocktail cuff shirt.

The Turnbull & Asser 007 collection also includes the Casino Royale Shirt, the three already existing Bond neckties and adds a new pocket square.

The release was originally scheduled to coincide with the release of the No Time To Die film, but while the film was postponed again to April 2021, the collection is still being launched.

The collection is now available at Turnbull & Asser boutiques and online at Turnbull & Asser UK/Europe and Turnbull & Asser USA.

SHIRTS

Turnbull & Asser shirts are crafted in the Gloucester factory in the UK, using hand-worked sewing machines operated by machinists with a wealth of experience. Using the highest quality cotton, with the separate pieces expertly cut and brought together to create the final design. Each shirt is finished with ethically sourced mother-of-pearl buttons, which are thermally fused to ensure they never loosen with wear. Two branded collar stays inserted into the collar for aesthetic and functional precision.

Dr No Blue Cotton Shirt With Cocktail Cuff

Originating from Turnbull's long love affair with James Bond, the blue cotton Dr. No shirt featured in the very first film of the franchise especially designed for Sir Sean Connery.

The design of the shirt has been updated to more closely resemble to original shirt from the film, this now-iconic design features two-button turnback cocktail cuffs which have become synonymous with Bond.

Casino Royale White Dress Shirt

The white cotton Casino Royale shirt was already part of Turnbull & Asser's collection. The shirt is worn by Daniel Craig in his first film of the franchise during the casino scenes.

Approached by the filmmakers because of Turnbull's authentic connection to Bond, this now-iconic design features a unique Bond collar.

Die Another Day Voile Dress Shirt

A white voile Die Another Day dress shirt as worn by Pierce Brosnan in his final film in the franchise is a new addition to the Turnbull collection.

This showpiece is faithfully inspired by authentic records and receipts uncovered in the Turnbull and James Bond archives, as well as close collaboration with private Bond collectors and experts.

The final shirt is a mix of a Diamonds Are Forever dress shirt and the Die Another Day dress shirt.

TIES

Turnbull & Asser silk ties are hand-sewn in Kent by a team of artisans with centuries of experience. The silk used is woven in Suffolk using techniques dating back hundreds of year. The blade of each design features a unique hidden loop made from strongest-ever bonded thread, which allows the tie to ruche and relaxes back into place after wearing.

Turnbull releases three new James Bond Neckties, all from the Pierce Brosnan era films Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.

Tomorrow Never Dies Diamond Silk Tie

The first new tie in the collection is this Turnbull & Asser necktie with diamond pattern, that was designed especially for Pierce Brosnan to wear in the 1997 film Tomorrow Never Dies.

And the Tomorrow Never Dies Square Silk Tie is still available, and a popular part of the collection. The tie features Navy, Brown and Sky Blue Squares and can be spotted in Hamburg scenes in the film.

The World Is Not Enough Zig Zag Silk Tie

Turnbull also adds a new The World Is Not Enough tie with zig zag pattern, as worn by Pierce Brosnan in the 1999 film. Meticulously recreated using the original patterns and receipts from the Bond and Turnbull archives.

The tie is worn by Bond in the first scene of The World Is Not Enough when Bond is in Bilbao.

Note that this new tie is not exactly the same as the screen-used version. The original tie seems to have a more subtle / less visible zig-zag pattern.

The World Is Not Enough Square Silk Tie

Another long time member of the Legends collection is the The World Is Not Enough Silk Tie with grey, tan and burnt orange square motif.

The tie can be seen in the MI6 headquarters scene and the following Q-boat chase on the Thames.

Die Another Day Stripe Silk Tie

The last new tie is the Die Another Day striped tie as worn by Pierce Brosnan in the 2002 film. The tie is also meticulously recreated using the original patterns and receipts from the Bond and Turnbull archives.

The tie is seen very briefly on Bond in the Hong Kong Royal Rubyeon Hotel lobby, when he receives his ticket to Cuba from the Hotel Manager / Chinese Intelligence agent Chang. The tie might also be one of the ties hanging on a clothing rack in the hotel room, but the details of those ties are not seen.

Die Another Day Circle Silk Tie

The Die Another Day blue circle tie is already a staple in the Turnbull & Asser collection for many years, and previously branded as part of the Legends collection. The Legends collection also had Winston Churchill's bow tie and the tie worn by the Joker (Batman films).

The tie can be seen in the London scenes, first when Bond watches Gustav Graves land with the parachute in front of Buckingham Palace, all the way to seeing the Aston Martin Vanquish in Q's lab.

Casino Royale Bow Tie

The Casino Royale bow tie was worn by Daniel Craig in his first film of the franchise. Meticulously refined to bring it closer to its on-screen counterpart, this now-iconic design features a unique shape and Shantung silk texture, making it a must-have for fans of the secret-agent story.

The Turnbull & Asser bow ties are hand-sewn in Kent by artisans with centuries of experience. The silk used in the bow ties is woven in Suffolk using techniques going back hundreds of years. All the bow ties are self-tying and can be adjusted to fit neck sizes between 14.5 and 18.5 inches.

James Bond Voile Pocket Square

A pure white pocket square is a regular feature of Bond's tailored ensembles.

Faithfully inspired by records and receipts found in the Turnbull archives, this pocket square is hand-made in Cheshire, England. The pocket squares are finished with delicate hand-rolled edges. The dimensions of this pocket square are 33cm by 33cm.
