Orlebar Brown Dr. No Knitted Polo

As part of the 2020 007 Heritage Collection, Orlebar Brown has created this ivory polo shirt, but this one is based on a color adjusted promotional image from the beach scene in Dr No (1962), but the shirt in this color doesn't appear in the movie. The original outfit is of course the blue shirt with blue trousers. The trousers are available as well, see them here. In the 2019 collection, Orlebar Brown released a blue towelling polo that was closer to the movie shirt.

So the new shirt has not much to do with the movie shirt other than that it is a polo shirt, but it is a very nice shirt nonetheless. The knitted polo shirt with waffle stitch in ivory cotton (50%) and silk (50%) is super smooth, lightweight and breathable. A nice detail is the 007 logo on the side tab, seen on all shirts in OBs 007 Heritage Collection. Other features are the pronounced rib collar, cuffs and hem and imitation mother of pearl buttons.
