Orlebar Brown Thunderball Blue Shirt
In Thunderball (1965), James Bond (Sean Connery) wears a blue short sleeve capri collar shirt, blue trousers and a straw hat.
We first see the outfit when James Bond meets Felix Leiter, Pinder and Paula Caplan. They all visit Q's secret lab in Nassau on the Bahamas, where Bond gets his Breitling Top Time geiger counter gadget watch, underwater camera, rebreathers in cigar tube, and other gadgets.
In a next short scene, James Bond still wears te outfit when he and Leiter on a speedboat scout the area where the Disco Volante is docked, to plan their nightly mission.
For the 007 Heritage Collection, Orlebar Brown recreated the blue shirt in linen, staying pretty close to the original movie shirt.
The Orlebar Brown Thunderball Linen Shirt has a capri collar, a linen fabric in dark blue and buttons made of imitation mother-of-pearl. This is probably one of the closest reproductions from the 007 Collection, together with the stripe shirt.
Now available at Orlebar Brown for £195 / €235 / $295
