In the opening sequence of the 1995 movie GoldenEye, James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) jumps off the Verzasca Dam in Switzerland.

The dam, also known as the Contra Dam, is 220 metre (720 feet) high hydroelectric dam, and is located close to the city of Locarno.
