The Macallan interactive James Bond experience at Harrods

Harrods will host an interactive experience celebrating 60 years of James Bond in partnership with The Macallan.

For four weeks, from Sunday February 19 2023, the luxury department store in London will exhibit props from the 007 archives to commemorate the release of the Scottish whiskey distillery’s 60th anniversary range of six Bond-themed bottles.

At the heart of the experience is a timeline of original concept art and storyboards chronicling the creative process of the Bond movies, which is also featured on the packaging for The Macallan’s 60th Anniversary single malt.

A highlight of the experience will be the Little Nellie, the autogyro flown by Sean Connery in 1967’s You Only Live Twice.

Other memorabilia on display include Oddjob’s bowler hat from Goldfinger (1964) and Jaws’ metal teeth from The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).

The experience will display a timeline composed of original illustrative designs, concept art and storyboards showcasing the creative development process of the Bond films, also featured on the distinctive packaging of the whisky collection.

The final space takes the form of Moneypenny’s office, with filing cabinets showcasing a retrospective of memorabilia from the six decades of James Bond films. Inside various cabinets, visitors will uncover Bond’s passport from GoldenEye (1995), his government Whitehall ID as seen in SkyFall (2012), a Sean Connery-signed gold bar from Goldfinger (1964), the inhaler belonging to Le Chiffre in Casino Royale (2006), the metal teeth of towering henchman Jaws from The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), and the steel-rimmed bowler hat worn by Oddjob in Goldfinger (1964).

In addition to the Harrods activity in London, a series of similarly curated experiences will take place in selected markets around the world as The Macallan in Cinema exhibit is celebrated across the globe.

The Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary

The Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary Release is a limited-edition Scotch whisky created by The Macallan master whisky maker Kirsteen Campbell.

The release features six individual packaging designs, one for each decade of the film franchise (read more about the bottles here). The featuring original illustrations from the film archives to showcase the creative process behind some of Bond’s most iconic moments.

Limited Edition Globe-Trotter The Macallan’s 60th Anniversary Case

Exclusive to purchase at Harrods in the UK is a limited edition Globe-Trotter case containing all six bottles of The Macallan’s 60th Anniversary James Bond Release.

The Globe-Trotter Macallan 007 case is limited to 300 pieces.

The price of individual bottles was £600 / $800 but it was not announced what the set of 6 in Globe-Trotter case will cost.
