JBL On Tour XTB

On M's desk in SkyFall, a JBL On Tour XTB speaker can be spotted. The device seems to be placed there as a speaker together with a Sony ECM-Z60 microphone as a conference speakerphone setup. The JBL On Tour XTB is a speaker that can be used wirelessly with Bluetooth enabled laptops, phones and mp3 players, or with a standard audio jack cable.

The model seen in the film is black with chrome/silver speakers, but this model is also available in black with black speakers or completely in white, so make sure you get the right version. The JBL On Tour XTB speakers are not produced anymore, but you might be able to find them in some stores or online on eBay. On Amazon.co.uk a seller used to offer these, but again, make sure you get the ones with the chrome/silver speakers if you want the same ones as in the film.

The JBL On Tour XTB comes with a remote control. Two volume buttons are placed on either side of one of the speakers and a small button on top that answers your phone if you have it connected via Bluetooth. The device has no microphone built in, but it can be used as a speakerphone along with your handset. On the other side of the speaker you can find the on/off button, audio input, and DC power port and an extra USB port. The speakers are powered via USB or even cordless if you put in some batteries.
