Vega IB339 Holster

Holy hell, can anyone find one of these??? I've looked all over! I know they're cheap but they're so amazingly rare! I have the Bond phone, gun, watch, almost everything except this. Someone please post a link to where I can find these (in English, I don't speak Croatian).

I gotta say: I think Daniel Craig used this holster a total of ONCE in the film, in the Madagascar chase seen. I also have to add that I hate holsters like this, as they're very prone to loosing your gun. Get something a little nicer with a thumbstrap if you really want a holster that works.

Needless correction: He wears this holster atleast two noticable times in the movie...Madagascar and the Bahamas. You can see it in the scene where he's walking with M, just before he get's that chip inplanted in his arm. Anyway, I now have this holster for my P99 and have had no problems with losing my precious pistol.

I also forgot to mention that this is the hands-down best inside-the-pants holster I have ever come across. Much better materials and craftsmanship on this particular model than Galco's or Uncle Mike's.

Thought, I'm opposed to holsters without any type of retention, once sent my Sig into the other toilet stall due to a lack of retention. But, we we all know what's best for ourselves.

This is a very good open or dress for concealment carry option. Many people have an issue with retention, though I've never had a problem with mine. In fact I've run tactical drills with it. For those considering this type of holster I'd suggest getting a good quality belt to compliment it.

Recently (finally) got one of these for my own PPK. It is a standard inside-the-waistband (IWB) holster, which, as the term implies, slides inside the waistband of your trousers, with only the clip on the outside, over the belt. Contrary to the belief of some, this is an extremely effective way to carry your pistol- there is no strap or snap which must be released prior to drawing, which drastically improves draw speed. The holster stays in place and the pistol stays in the holster under practically all levels of physical activity through a snug belt and simple friction. A very nice feature of the Vega (compared to a more expensive suede IWB holster from a different manufacturer) is that the clip is relatively high up on the holster, which allows the pistol to be tucked in very low, helping with overall concealment. My only complaint is that the holster is so soft and lightweight that once the pistol is drawn, the opening collapses and the only way to safely and effectively re-holster it is to completely remove the holster, place the pistol in it, and then return the entire setup to the inside of the waistband- which will likely require losening of the belt.

The IB339 is way too big for the Walther P99. I returned it and got the IB332. Much better fit.

And actually, that picture showing the stunt P99 is clearly an IB332 not an IB339. The P99 fits much deeper in to the IB339. I think the confusion is because Vega considers the P99 to be a "large frame" handgun in the same category as the Glock 17. It's much closer in size to the Glock 19.

I got one of these holsters for my Bersa Thunder 380 from Bersa themselves. It's proven to be a fantastic holster with great grip and a very small profile. The Bersa 380 is a PPK/S copy with the addition of a slide release and mag safety. It's a great holster!

I would have to agree with Casey. Received my IB 339 from Amazon yesterday and it is too big for my Walther P99 DAO. I think I will follow his suggestion and get the next size smaller. And perhaps a left hand option for small of the back carry under a shirt. It has to be better than just sticking in my waistband!

Patrick, there is no "left hand option". The belt clip can be moved to the other side to make it left handed (I carry mine in the small of the back as you describe).

The holster used in Madagascar is not brown as above ... it is black!! pauae the picture as he takes it out a the end of the scene ..

It's not, it's brown. It's just been highly weathered.

I realize this comment is very late to the party, nonetheless I am looking at this page in 2019. I have not had a Walther PPK/S that I prefer over the PPK, for many years now. However, since I am concealed carrying again, I will get another one. I use nothing but inside the waistband holsters for my concealed carry handguns. At the moment I have 3 different handguns for that purpose, 2 9mms and a .380. All 3 holsters are exactly the same as the Vega, although one had to be custom made for my Ruger P-85, as none are made off the shelf for that handgun any longer. All of them are made in suede and all work perfectly. I have never had any issues with retention and all of them conceal my handguns perfectly. I have had Vega IWB holsters in the past and they are high quality and well made holsters that I would endorse enthusiastically. As far as handguns go and concealed carry handguns in particular, a Walther PPK or PPK/S, are high quality, well made and very accurate handguns that I would easily trust my life or my family's life to without question. The fact that they are all metal make them slightly heavier than today's composite material handguns, but they're worth the extra weight in the fact that they are going to outlast anyone who purchases them. Also, since they come with a fixed barrel means that they are highly accurate firearms. I would put either Walther up against any of today's lighter handguns in a heartbeat and would prefer to have a Walther, now that I have tried out some of the current .380s. A design that has lasted 90 years and has been copied to such an extent should tell you that the gun is loved and respected the world over.
